blitz bov makes wierd noise
my friend has a blitz dd bov that makes a chattering noise when it releases. This started ever since he swaped out a t3 turbo and put in a t3/t4 hybrid with a tial 35mm gate. he has adjusted the tension on the bov all the way up down and so on no change. he is running 4 1/2 lbs of boost, but has boosted it up to 9lbs and still no change. before with the t3 it made the nice loud whoosh sound. what could be the reason for this could it be simply that the waste gate dumps directly into the atmosphere and is not routed back into the down pipe as an internal basically is. this doesn't make sence to us, but it is the only difference in the system besides the turbo. We ran into a guy with a eagle talon and the same bov his was really loud like my buddies used to be. he popped the hood and reved it up and the bov proceeded to release as if it would under load whats up with that? Any body that has a blitz or knowledge of this situation please give feed back it will be appreciated as always

I have the Blitz DD BOV, a T3/T4, and a Tial 35mm WG and when I rev my engine it releases a little but not loud. The smaller T3 spools up quicker so the BOV will sound louder when reving at idle. As for the chattering noise the only thing I can say is check your vac source or listen for leaks. Sometimes when I use low boost I will have a more high pitched sound than at higher boost, the open wastegate should not make a difference. Good luck.
