blew my trans have to put the turbo install off a week
yep you all heard correctly i blew my trans thursday evening so i am going to have to put the turbo install off a week or 2. but lemme keep this in the turbo forum topic.....i found a legit LS trans for 350 should i pick this up b\c from what i hear that trans is better for turbo cars.
what do u guys think

If your not buying it...let me get it. Thats a good price for a tranny, assuming it's in good condition.

so i take it that the LS trans is good for FI? heh i thnk i am going to be all over it unless i can miracaulasly get it warenteed but if not i will let you know (by the way FIxALPHA hit me up on an IM fourdoorex@aol.com)

LS tranny is good for FI because its gears are taller. With a GS-R tranny + turbo, you'll rev through first gear so fast, you'll bounce off the rev-limiter so hard that you smack your head on your steering wheel.

well actually, the first and second gears of the gsr & and the LS are exactly the same, the only difference is the FD ratio is 4.4 compared to 4.266 i believe, which would make a minor difference.
