Default Billet 6765 VS GT4088R Dyno Comparison

So we strapped the ol' girl on the dyno to compare the Ball Bearing GT4088R .85 a/r to the new-ish Journal Bearing Precision Billet 6765 .81 a/r.

2.0L F20C
Sidewinder T4 Manifold
AEM ems
1600cc
e85
Both peak about 32psi taper to 28-29psi. Both turbos NEED bigger turbine housings!

Only thing tweaked was the fueling.

Get the ball bearing version of the 67 and it will have the Garrett covered everywhere!

nice comparison, how much more useable psi can you get out of the 40R? My friend just bought one for his 2.0L with the 1.06 housing, hoping my T67 with the 1.15 housing is going to **** on him.

Is the 40r running a .85 divided and is the manifold designed for a divided housing?

It's an undivided set-up.

Running and undivided manifold and a divided turbo is a great way to slow spool and cause excessive heat and backpressure.

It's a pretty good turbo! It still has a stock trans in it!

PPG is sooo spendy!

sorry to complain (im always glad to see testing) but thats the worst performing 4088R setup you can do, it really needs a divided manifold to work right

Well we compared the divided manifold vs the undivided with the 4088r. The difference was about 12 more ft lbs tq, and 250 rpm quicker spool. However the horsepower was down by 30 up top and the power fell sooner. I blame that on the small turbine housings though.

In regards to the test, ideal or not... it's a true back to back test of the two turbos.
