Default Bigger motors, More power on Pump

why is it that u see v8 engines make way more power on pump gas than 4cylinders?

Its like u see turbo mustangs with 600hp on pump when our pump limit is around 400?

Is it because the extra cylinders decrease the amount of load/cylinder temps per cylinder?

Im not too clear on this, any info welcome

Becuase they've got way more displacement.

Thats right there displacement is greater and 4 more voids to fill however there brake fuel consumption is higher.
