BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial... What size???
I'm going to be purchasing (2) BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radial for the track. I'll be mounting them on my oem 2000 Honda Civic SI wheels 15x6.5. I was thinking of going to 225/50/15, because there only $5 more a tire on TireRack. But I'm worried that I'm going to rub the **** out of my fenders. What's your guys experience with running 225/50/15 vs 205/50/15.
Thanks in advance.

I have an eg with 225/50/15 an it only rubed because it was too low, i reised the car about 1/2" and problem is gone, well unless i have one of my fat basterd friends in the car.J/K . But yeah you shouldn't have a problem.

I have used the 225/50/15 on black steel rims on both my integra and my crx and they worked great... got about a 1.9 60 ft which is about what you can expect from a street radial.

Re: (mattcivic)
my 225's don't rub at all with the stock ITR suspension. I am goin to 235's this year and I think until you get to those stock height will be fine

I got about 6k miles on them and I took 6 passes at the track with a few races on the weekend and daily driving. Although they wear out fast they lasted me the whole summer season which is nice. Traction BTW is unbelievable compared to regular street tires . I notice a little rubbing in hard corners or full lock to lock turning

Business in the front party in the back
225/50 15 setups are pretty common. Don't have to roll the fenders. 60 foots usually range from 2.0 to 1.9 (which also depends on driver ability)

Re: Re: (Muckman)
Tyre: Toyo Proxes R888, 225-45-16
Rims: OZ Superturismo 7.5Jx16, 37mm offset
Car: EG6, stock front suspension
grip: phenomenal (dry)
Rubbing: virtually none, only when I see the speed bumps too late :-)

Can you run those without messing with the fender on a lowered car or is 225 the maximum?

No you can go over. The smallest for 225 is 6" and for 215 I believe is 5.5", but we don't have smaller then 6" anyway.
