Better turbo, i have a t3/t4 and I get full boost at like 4-4500, I want faster spool up??
What would be a good turbo that could handle up to like 18 psi, but I want something that will spool up alot earlier then 4500, I want more low end boost and throttle responsiveness. Any suggestions let me know.

Setup? Just b/c your turbo spools slow doesn't mean you necissarily need a different one. Perhaps a bigger exhaust is in order?

You're not going to be able to run high boost and get fast spool up. The more boost the longer it takes to spool. I think you just need a 3'' dp and exhaust.

something ball bearing would help but a 3inch dp and 3inch exhaust would be cheaper than getting a full ball bearing turbo steup.

Also a lightened flywheel will help. My T3/T4 makes a full 10.5 PSI at 3,500 RPM.

hey BG boost, what type of flywheel are you using and how light is it

im running open header ona 2.5" dp and i dont hit full boost til at least 4k rpms...

A lightened flywheel wont help your turbo spool up faster rpm wise but it will help you rev faster hence spooling faster.

a boost controler will help you spool faster too. The reason being is a wastegate opens the spring up a little early and lets boost out so it take a little longer to get at full boost. If you put a boost controler in, it will keep the wastegate springs completly closed until you hit desired boost. You can get a pretty cheap manual controler for around 50 bucks and I think this would be the cheapest option to get it spooled faster......Mike

Contact Vaportrail for a GT turbo... (he's running a group buy) 
Then upgrade to a 3" downpipe...
Then boost away...

Electronic boost controller will hold your wastegate shut until you hit your desired boost level. Manual boost controllers, while better then no boost controller, will let your WG creep open before you reach your set boost level.
