which is better for FI the z6 or the Y8
i've herad the that the y8 arent as good for FI stock as compared to the z6
i've had a y8 before all motor never tried to FI but i've been using z6's mostly it just im running out of z6 sources here in the islands and all i can get are y8's
just need opinons or experiences

I see way more Z6's spinning bearings than I see Y8's.. but then that could very well just be an age factor. Y8 head is definatley the better or the two along with the IM.

The z6 with the y8 manifold would be the best bet. Man there's lots of z6's in HI. Maybe you could even try the skunk2 manifold.

thats not what i was looking for. I'm looking for if the y8's internals were made more poorly then the z6's. the rumor i've been hearing is that bearings in the z6;s were made much better than the y8s

Well you weren't that specific in your first post. Why don't you just rebuild a block with good parts that can handle???

the y8 has a better intake mani and head
Z6's are probably spinning bearings because they're getting old.
also, the Y8 has steel shift forks and an aluminum oil pan, as opposed to the Z6's aluminum shift forks and steel oil pan

This is false. If I can find the link of the comparison of the two, I will post it. The Z6 head is by far superior. The Y8 manifold is better than the Z6 one.
You can also browse Endyn's forum for more info. He states the Z6 head is better as well.
