Re: best turbo set up
On a serious note, without more information, this question can't be answered (and should also be in the forced induction forum, not here).

Re: best turbo set up
thats like saying whats the best tire to buy...
theres many different brands/models/setups and you need to decide what you want out of the car to determine what would be best for you

Re: best turbo set up
Turbonetics T3/T4 complete kit is like $3400, and comes with bigger injectors, you will get your 300 WHP, but I would suggest some engine work, like rods and pistons unless you stay lower around 250HP and less boost. I ran on stock internals and my pistons melted

I say you piece it together, way cheaper than buying a whole kit cuz when you buy a kit what your really buying is convenience, when you piece it together it take awhile but spending 3g on a kit and spending 3g piecing stuff together could be a difference

if the engine is running right you will spin bearings, break rods or just shatter parts when the hp gets high. 450whp seems to be the magic number b18c's will fly apart at when operated on stock internals over and over. guys have actually pushed 600whp on stock internals but no one really talks about how long they live. 300whp will go for quite awhile provided you error on the rich side and don't get carried away with adding timing. e85 is also great for boost since it's cooler burning, less detonation and more octane. if it's available in your area set the car up for it

Re: best turbo set up
Go peakboost i did and have been nothing but happy and you can totally do 300 without doing any internals im doing 350 HP at the wheel and it was done on a mustang dyno so good actual numbers and no problems with the bottom end and ive ran it pretty hard for close to a year. You will be safe on a stock bottom end just find a reputable tuner in your area.

i could have sworn it wasn't 2:1, i thought it was more like 40% i was googling the thermodynamics but it brought up a TON of papers. you always need more e85 in the chamber versus gas BUT, i just can't find proof of how much
