Re: Best turbo for my B16a?
stock bottom end I wouldn't go any more than 10 psi with a good tune right away. you'll probly be right at the 300whp range which is good for a daily. hopefully you've upgraded your clutch already too. but start saving for forged internals cause i'd give it a year before your pistons give out if your in boost all the time. been there, done that lol

Re: Best turbo for my B16a?
yeah i already have a upgraded clutch and lightweight flywheel.
Im going to be ordering the turbo real soon.
At the moment im redoing the intercooler piping, and amping up the fuel system with a walbro255 and new RC injectors.

Re: Best turbo for my B16a?
Sorry but in but was also lookin at the thread and I needed a little
More input on I guys that have a little bit more experience with turbos and setups. Let me kno what u think and way turbo u think would be best for my motor application and purposes. Not really gonna be a daily driver but I will take it out every once in a while. Mainly street race use/highwAy. Want to take it to the tract sometimes as well. Don't want a turbo that's to laggy. Looking to boost around 15 to 20 pounds if possible on this setup.
Poor mans type r, gsr block, arias 10:1 81.5 mil pistons, eagle h beam Rods, arp rod bolts, acl race bearings, balanced and micropolished crank, stock sleeves, supertech block gaurd, b16 head, supertech valve springs and retainers, ferrera titanium turbo valves , skunk2 pro 1 cams, port and polished, jg edelbrock victor x manifold, skunk2 70 mil TB. 1000cc precision injectors, aem fuel fail and regulator, walbro 255,
Turbo setup
Neauken ramhorn manifold
Garret turbosmart 38 mil wastegate
Greddy type s bov
2.5 inch aluminum intercooler piping
Input on what kinda turbo I should get?
Anyone . Lookin for 350 400 hp

Re: Best turbo for my B16a?
i think i found the thread ive been googling and searching for the last month or so...

880cc Precision Injectors
6 puck Act clutch 12lb Fidanza flywheel
B16 tranny
Walbro 255 pump
Full Race ramhorn manifold
Tial 44mm W/G
2.5" IC piping
JG Big barrel Intake Manifold
70mm TB
Synapse Engineering BOV
STR fuel rail
Full -6an Steel braided feed & return fuel lines
Turbo Tuned on: Turbonetics 60-1 A/r.70 .63 hotside journal non billet
made 321whp @ 14psi with a few boost leaks/vacuum leaks
DYNO:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E3vxxSY3JNY
^^^^(sucked up a rock at the track)^^^^
About to buy a new turbo, was told to get the Precision 6262 billet non BB .83 Hotside for (top end)...based on research, its right now a toss between the 5857 billet non-BB.83(quicker spool some top end).....
Future plans:
Stage 2 Cams
Injector Dynamics 1600cc
Bosch .044 Fuel pump
Re-tune on E85
(Maybe build/buy a GSR/LS block on the side if right deal comes along not sure)
Frequent Street race/ Frequent Track visits will NOT be driven daily weeekend warrior
Goal: 450-550whp max on stock block (drive at 400whp on E85)
Right now Im leaning toward the 6262 because of future goals & dont want to spend twice...but looking for more opinions based on my current setup & future plans..the 60-1 was a bit laggy, but it also wasnt a billet wheel so the lag ive been concerned with im being told will not be a factor on the 6262 with my high RPM motor...
any suggestions/input? just dont want to get the wrong turbo for my stock motor but i do plan on pushing it as far as it can go till the bottom end build gets done...

Those can be found in MANY different places all over online. It was more than likely several locations.
Please remember this was a 6 year old thread. Ancient times in the world of web forums. You may want to try other avenues and look on the vendor forums here as well. They sell many of these components
