Default Best turbo for my B16a?

I have a integra with a b16a engine swap, I was wondering what the best turbo for what ill be doing is?

My integra is basiclly a daily driver that ill be driving a couple miles to work and back each day and racing on the highway its not gonna be a strict drag car or anything although ill most deffinitly bring it to the track every once in a while.

Im looking to make hp in the mid 300s until i can resleeve my block then im hoping for around 400 or so.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

For your turbo size, it depends on what you like. For something all around and daily driveable, a simple 57 trim would get the job done for you.

Other areas to check out

Bigger injectors would be good if your plan for 400+ in the future, what type of fuel are you using?

For pump im sure 750s will be fine, you could even do 800's

For E85 - 1000CC injectors would be best imo. Im running FIC 1000's making mid 300's no problem, idles like stock.

What size is your skunk 2 exhaust? Bigger exhaust would help you make more power, if youre running the skunk 2 stock exhaust which is like 2.36 if i remember correctly, youre seriously bottlenecking your setup, go big baby.

are you running an aftermarket fuel pump? walbro 255lph is like 100 dollars, i suggest one.

yeah man, im upgrading everything.
Im getting 750cc RC injectors,
a Neukin Ramhorn mani (to replace my cracked up lovefab)
replacing the 2" intercooler piping w/ 2.5" (seen it pretty cheap @cxracing.com)
i already got the fuel pump upgraded.
for the skunk2 exhaust im not positive on the diameter its pretty large i think its 3" but not sure. I bought the car with the exhaust already installed.
Im looking to spend around $850 tops for the turbo.
Im pretty new to the turbo game so you think a T3/TO4E 57trim like the following would be my best bet?
what about a 60trim? or super 60?
if you could explain the differences that would be awesome.
im sorta new to the turbo game.

thanks in advance.

Dont focus on PSI too much, focus on power.

Some of the other guys would explain the differences in the turbochargers better and more in depth than I can, but pretty much the 57 trim is a good affordable middle ground.

You dont have to wait for boost too long, it will make 400+whp, and its affordable.

the 60 trim will be bigger, and make more power, but full boost will more than likely be achieved later than the 57trim.

The super60 will be out of breath before 400whp, however spools up pretty quick.

For a daily driver you have to ask yourself if you want to hit boost pretty quick, sure it makes driving around a little easier, but being in boost alot = more fuel used = little worse mpg.

Is that something you want?

Definitely measure that exhaust, most skunks are 2.36, but the new skunks actually come 2.75-3inch from what ive read/remember.

If you want a nice turbo, ive heard nothing but good things about the precision billet 5557.

Here is a Dyno graph I found of a guys bone stock GSR and a 57trim

As you can see the 57 trim is more than capable of reaching your hp numbers in the future.

Yeah the 57trim sounds like a good idea,
but would my stock bottom end be able to handle the amount of boost it would take to make me reach about 340hp or so?

i would go with a presicion 6262. thats what in using on my b16a2. that way when you finish your build block you dont have to go buying another turbo cus you cant achive your power goal with a 57trim. just my 2 cents.

are you ****ing serious?

Do you know how big of a turbo the 6262 vs a 57 trim?

Did I not just post a dyno graph showing that this turbo is capable of achieving 400+whp which is what the OP is searching for?

Why on earth are going to recommend a turbocharger that people make 600+hp with?

Please enlighten us

heres a video to put your 2 cents to shame

Forged internal GSR w/ ITR cams, no race gas and 20psi

400 is possible without itr cams and pump

If your looking to spend around 850 on a turbo, go GT3076 !

GT3076Rs brand new go for 1000+ even used ones are hard to come by for 800$, and on top of that you have to buy the lines and fittings because they are water cooled, add another stack on top of that, and you still have almost a grand into a used 3076R setup.

While 3076Rs are good turbos, for 800, a new precision billet 5557 will spool sooner and make similar power.

so you'd recommend me get a precision 5557 rather than a garret 57 trim?
whats the difference's between the two?
Is the extra $300 for the 5557 worth it?
Also if you could send me a link to a reputable website where they sell them that cheap that would be awesome thanks

your making it harder than it really is bud.
listen to alex.

the mistake of most turbo guys is that they want 1 turbo that does it all & they think they'll only end up with 1 turbo for their setup.

get the 57trim, and upgrade as needed and as you learn more stuff.
You'll apperciate it more vs. blindly going with what people say.
In your situation there's no need to spend more than $500-600 on a quality turbo.

I was in your situation once, i think everyone starts out that way..."wanting the best turbo for their application"

but what little you know about turbos, the word "best" will change and evolve over time.

Their is no answer for your your seeking cause it's subjective.

Contact Jordan @ Maperformance (www.maperformance.com)

they should have them, even though they may not be listed on the website.

if youre looking to save money just go 57 trim

heres a graph on a 5857 on a 1.8l

expect boost to be sooner on a 5557.

my tuner says its between a 50trim and a 57trim as far as spooling characteristics.

Yeah im still debating the two turbos, if i can get the money im deffinitly gonna get the 5557.
But do you think id be able to reach around 350hp or at least low 300s safely with the following setup?

ITR cams
750cc RC injectors
Neukin Ramhorn mani
Greddy intercooler
2.5" turbo/intercooler piping
3" Downpipe and custom exhaust with Skunk2 muffler (nocat)
AEM highflow fuelrail
AEM fuel pressure regulator
Skunk2 intake manifold
Tial bov+wastegate
Oil catch
Garret 57trim turbo

Tuned on Hondata s300

I would get the .63 a/r for more headroom.

A small S25x series would also be a good option. Theyre a bit larger, but spool pretty well and make good power.

I think im going to just stick with the Garrett 57trim.
Its cheap enough and its gonna be fine for what im planning on using my car for.
Im not looking to make a all out dragcar or anything, i just want a decent turbo thatll spool relatively quick and still make decent top end.
Im only planning on making 300-360hp so im not planning on cranking up the psi too much.

so you guys think the .63 a/r would be the right choice?
I want a little more input on it before deciding.

I personally have made over 400whp on a t3/t04e 57 trim on a b16. I love the way the car drove and how it spooled. Listen to what people here are saying you can get a 57 trim for like 600 it's cheap and reliable and will make the power you want. And will leave room for more if you plan on upgrading (headwork, built bottom end for more boost )
