Best turbo for 500whp on B16a Turbo
Hey, yes i did post another post recently about turbo and my set up, but this is a little different.. i am curious if anyone could chime in and point me in the right direction, i would like to make about 500whp on a built b16, i did post another thread but it was a little different it was kind of comparing 2 turbo's but my options are a little different, i currently have a t3/t4 57 trim turbo with stage 3 wheel.. my tuner is saying i most likely wont make 500whp with that turbo on fully built b16, i know these turbo's are more in the 400's but some websites say they can make 500, but i guess he may be a b16 hater, but i would really like to make 500whp on the dyno with my turbo set up using a fully built b16.. as stated i have a t3/t4 57 trim turbo at the moment, it is brand new never opened, i did purchase it a while ago, but im going to try to contact the company and see if they will let me return it and pay the difference, to the best of my knowledge they reach full boost at around 4000 rpm's.. the next turbo i put on i would like to reach full boost at around the same rpm, if anything no more then 4500-4800-5000TOPS.. what kind of turbo would you recommend to make around 500ish WHP my whole set up is set up for 600whp but i would be happy with high 400's to low 500's this is my first turbo set up but i want to go all out an i would really like to make 500.. im assuming for a B16 a .63 A/R wheel is perfect for the RPMS and less LAGG correct me if im wrong.. anyone running a b16 turbo that could chime in, or making 500 whp where there turbo's are just about maxxed out ... but yea... anyone who reads this.. could you name some turbo's i could look into that will keep my lag and full spool as low as possible and make 500whp.. i would greatly appreciate any info or turbo names you give me, i kind of cant afford any ball bearing turbo's at the moment, i bought my kit from peakboost, so i would have to return it to them an exchange it to them if im lucky to pay the difference, i know the kit only comes with 50, 57, and 60 trim, worst case scenario, i will have to either keep my 57 trim, or go to the 60 trim if thats all they will let me exchange for, would it be worth it? do they even make 500whp? if so which one and which wheel? i believe mine is the t3/t4 57 trim turbo with a .63 A/R and i think i want to keep it at 63 because a 48 will choke, 63 should be perfect and a 83 or larger will cause alot more lag.. what do you think? please chime in im running out of time and i need to figure this out.. if you think i can make 500whp on my built b16 turbo set up, check my other thread it shows my set up and show me what i should change to get as close as 500 as possible, i got GSR cams he says i should get Type R's which i really want if i can get them in my price range, which i know that will help, if i keep the 57 trim im going to wait till i get a set before i tune.. any other bolt on's i should wait to get if i have to keep the 57 trim to raise my WHP to 500 of as close as possible
