Best spoolin turbo for my SOHC to get 300 whp and more torque ?
Im now in the dilema of keeping my SC50 .63ar and get the ball bearing center cardtrige or sell it and get a GT28RS .82ar T3 housing. The GT2871R is supposed to be better up top but doesnt get more power than the GT28RS... I also saw that the GT3076R is supposed to spool really fast.....
here is my setup :
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1422732
My car is used 99.9% of the time on the street and I like a well balanced car.
When I bought the SC50 I was sure that I was going to push it more but finally im really happy with a 300whp car for the street. All I would like is to get a better spool time, more torque and a better powerband.
The GT28rs .82 seems the logical choice but im affraid that it wont give me 300whp @ 15 psi ( my tuner wont tune with pump gas over that ) but of course this turbo would give me more torque and a super nice powerband.
The other option would be to upgrade my SC50 with the new ball bearing center section... and make it ball bearing but im not sure if it really worth the price and I didnt saw any comparaison before and after. They claim that the turbo should spool around 500-1000rpm faster... and is it true that it also could gives more power ?
I just need some info about this product and some advice...
Thanks
Mat

Here's to hoping, with a really nice setup it should. I'm hoping for 200whp at 7-8psi on my SOHC w/a 28RS.
