Well...i'm pretty sure all of the above (minus the N/A) do their intended function. One must sound cooler though.

Yeah WHY would be nice, cause some people like one BOV cause it sounds like a sneeze, while the other might like the other cause it sounds like a pssh.....and yet another cause it sounds like a whistle
a recording of various ones would be nice

btw is there a way to make a BOV quiet? or at least quieter....so they wont know for sure your boosted......cause im afraid that if someone knows your boosted, they'll jack your ride

I like the way the HKS Racing BOV sounds. The one that comes with FMAX kits. No frills. Just sounds like a huge rush of air with no other weird noises. It's the cheapest too I think of the major brands.

Why no one likes the Blitz BOV?? I have it and it sounds cool to me, it sounds like a long & loud PSSSSSssshhhhh.... but i've never heard of anything else though.... should we post the sound of each kind of BOV??

best sounding is subjective. as for me, i have a greddy type s and it sounds like a loud sneeze under boost... choooo. my friends have hks ss and it;s more of a pssshhh sound. i had originally wanted an hks since i had never heard the greddy type s, but now, i prefer the type s. i wish i had a wav, so you could listen but unfortunately i don;t. as for the blitz, i heard it was loud, but under high boost applications it doesn;t work as well. don;t know the truths behind that, but just something i had heard from people

i took out the noise maker from the hks, and it is quiet now, but i think i am goona put it back on

HKS sounds wicked especially on the Supras, TiAL looks the most unique.

a bov should be more performance oriented then how "cool it sounds" but whatever... ebveryone knows they love the sound... as for best sound... there is this company in australia called turbosmart that makes the (and i dont say this word much) sickest sounding bov... my friend has one in his car and we seriously scared the **** outta people if he makes it go off while passing by them on the street... i think they have sound on their website too... i dont know the site now and cant really look it up... look it up in yahoo... i believe it may be http://www.turbosmart.com.au... but im not sure

I have a Blitz SS BOV and I think itz by far the best sounding BOV. I've heard all the other brands (mostly in DSM's) but the SS is awesome. It does what intends to do and the sounds is amazing. When tighten it doesn't sound like much, but when you loosen it up, watch out. It turns heads on the street, all my friends love the sound. Just my 2 cents.

My Blitz's BOV sounds really like it in the Initial D, i love that sound.

hmm.. i gotta hear it again.. but so far, the skyline from intiail D, the bov he uses sounds the best!!! i wonder which one it is..

haven't try the new blitz dd bov yet though, but I think it'll be even louder. it's basically the same as the old super sound, they use the same flange, which means the new DD can bolt right to the old ss flange, the new one includes a filter for the exhaust, what is it for?? is it a "suck in valve" instead blow off??

well, as for someone who doesn't have turbo on their car (yet, muahaa!) i would have to go with saying that the HKS SS is one of the nicest sounding bov's i've ever heard. I was at a local auto cross and some guy was revving his engine, upon a closer inspection it was a FD-13 rotary sitting in a datsun 510. he kept on revving his motor like an idiot, but damn did it sound nice. so my vote goes for the HKS SS
