Best set up for: SOHC 350-400whp ???
I have searched around, reading this forum, and lot of people talk about just putting a greddy kit on the sohc, but im thinking about keeping the SOHC to boost because im on a budget and may not be able to afford a swap and proper tubo set-up.....so i want to see the potential of this motor and what i will need and how much to get 350+ hp at the wheels so all you turbo heads list what kind of set-up you would run to achieve this.
Questions:
1. what turbo should i run (t4, t3/t4, t3 60-1......etc)
2. Custom or Kit??
3. Can i modify greddy to fit a 18 or 20 to achieve big numbers??
4. what kind of fuel for set-up
5. do i have to sleeve the block??
I want to do it right, i mean standalone and big fuel set-up, built engine, and my goals is in the 12's on street tires(plus size!!)
i figure all motor cars get in the 11's on 230-255 whp range, so i shouldnt need more than 300 if i can get it too hook up, then spool after it hooks up right??
so brainstorm and i want to hear your opinion, except no opinions about swapping.....because im still considering that......thanks
