Default best place for boost gauge and wastergate hookup

I have a spliter good for two sources on the compressor side. I was thinking boost gauge hooked up somewhere by manifold. How much boost is lost in reality after IC etc till it reaches intake? as for wastegate I figure right at compressor to get acurate reading as well. Or does it really matter? Maybe hook em both up there? Just wanted others opinions. This is a very low boost setup my first just to get started. I would post pic but wehn i do all it says is.... [IMG][/IMG]

Get your gauge source at the intake manifold and the wastegate source right after the turbo, or after the intercooler and before the throttle body.

so far from what i have seen and read, you want the wastegate to be the first thing to see boost obviously as a precaution and accuracy, thats why i used the compressor nipple, my gauge is off the back of the manifold

i would use the intake manifold for the pressure source for the gate, reason being you would want gate to see the actual psi your motor is getting, putting it at the compressor housing, you have to consider the pressure drop thru the cooler

thats what I was wondering. But since Im using such a low boost app would there be more than 1psi drop in boost?

the pressure drop from the cooler should be no more than 1.5 psi

You do not want to tap at the manifold, it's complicated, but in essence it will cause slight compressor surge each time you let off the throttle.

The BOV doesn't matter in that situation, for a split second you BOV, throttle plate, and wastegate will all be closed, causing compressor surge.

Just tap before the throttle plate.
