Default Best Piston and Rod combo for d series (bargain shop though)

Not trying to be a cheap *** but If you can use like LS rods and they only cost like 100$ and work as well thats great...but If I gotta buy brand new or just second hand thats fine too...just whats good name brands...

I have a d16a6 with port polish head...running around 9psi stock...I wanna try and boost it to 16lbs after all this I have the greddy kit I know plastic turbo....but I got the whole kit with another motor and tranny for 900$ so understand why I bought it.

Let me know pls what you guys are using....what kind of piston rings and if I should sleeve the block...* I currently have a DHR block guard in their*

turbo panda offers the b16 rod and supra piston which gives you low compression and stong internals for a very cheap price.

The supra piston/rod package is the cheapest option that you can go with. The next option is eagle rods with srp pistons. If your goal is 300whp both of these choices can easily handle the task.

agreed check out the b16/supra combo...even though LS rods are cheap they really aren't that much beefier than d16 rods + machine shops charge about $100 just to get them to fit the d16 crank.

i thought all you had to do was knoch the block which is free if you have a dremel and any mechanical sense.

You have to machine the big end to fit the D16 crank, and re-bush( ) the small end to work with your pistons.

LS rods are much bigger than d16 rods.

they can handle some good horsepower without modifing the block. BUT i would say get eagles.

Contact Nathan, aka turbopanda, he sells sets of Supra pistons and machined B16 rods.

I think I pm'd him but no response yet...... really interested cause 300Hp would be more than enough for what I want....just trying to be quik but remain good handling and some reliability.
