Is the GSR intake cam and ITR exhaust cam the best OEM combo for supercharged? I heared the opposite I.E. ITR intake and GSR exhaust?

Witch one is it? To clear things up

Several people have tested and achieved the best results by using the GSR intake and ITR exhaust cam setup. This is because a supercharged engine prefers an exhaust biased flow through the head.

It definitely the GSR Intake and ITR Exhaust thats whats in my current set up and what nets the biggest gains and of course cam gears will help as well some have said as much as 15 to 20 hp with them and I believe it .I have a bone stock gsr thats got a jrsc bolted to it that puts down 277 hp and 203 trq

Now here's the thing, when I heared that the best setup was ITR intake and GSR exhaust I was being offered a CTR intake cam, so I talked to my tuner he liked the idea so I got it.

So what do you guy's think about me using the CTR intake cam on the exhaust side with a GRS intake on the intake side?

Also what are you guy's running as far as degreeing the cams? Intake and exhaust?

I've heard rumors about that being possible, but I have no experience or empirical data to prove that it will work. You'll be forging new ground. Let us know how it works out.

i know the intake and exhaust cams are identical other than the groove cut in the intake for the distributor. I'm more concerned the the fact that the CTR intake cam is more aggressive than the ITR one.

Ok putting the motor in verry soon, need some info from experienced guys.

My tuner insists the CTR intake cam on intake side and gsr exhaust on the exhaust side IS the best setup for the supercharged setup. He says the gsr intake and itr exhaust may incresse the boost reading but will not incresse the power.

I need some experenced help with this, and some info on how it is that the gsr intake and itr exhaust is better, dyno # comparison

There's a huge thread here about JRSC setups, and several people there have achieved the best results by using the GSR intake and the ITR exhaust. You have to decide who's opinion you're going to go with.

Ya thats what I'm looking for is the result, do these people say its the best result because their boost gauge reads higher or because the dyno # say so?

Well, while i couldn't find what i was looking for in 3 days of reading 500 plus pages, i found all the specs for every oem b series vtec cams and calculated the best cam combo
