Best camshafts for stock b16 turbo, e85
Hey guys!
I've been thinking about upgrading my current ITR camshafts in my stock B16 turbo.
Also looking to upgrade the valvetrain (valve springs/retainers)
Currently running these parts:
Stock B16 block:
Shotpeen rods
OEM p30 coated pistions
Supertech blockguard
Stock B16 head:
OEM springs/retainers
ITR camshafts
Skunk2 IM
70mm TB
What i'm lookig for is faster spool on the turbo with some more mid gains.
Been looking around but some ppl say to go for turbo camshafts and some say go N/A camshafts with low boost setups on E85.
Gona run 14psi of boost.
Any suggestions?

Its a B16 there wont be much in the way of midrange power. Stick with the ITR camshafts or downgrade to GSR camshafts which will help with spool a little but sacrafice top end power per pound of boost. You should be running Upgraded valvetrain with ITR cams if not at least running ITR springs and retainers.
What turbo are you running on the car ?

Ok with that turbo you should be able to obtain 400 range with E85 and stock internals but i wouldnt push it that hard on a daily basis. Boost pressure means nothing just need a HP goal. With the e85 you'll be able to run more timing down low which will helpw ith spool up as well. That turbo should be pretty responsive even on a B16

you will be fine with those cams. if anything spend that money on a manifold and maby some porting. i made 386whp on a stock b16 with itr cams(e85). i would have made more power on the dyno but i was having spark issues with higher boost.
