Best cam option for a turbo d16y7
Hello guys
I have a d16y7 with 102xxx miles. Had it since 45k miles so I know it's
Whole history and its been well taken care of. I'm bout to turbo it in about a month, just switching to a d16z6 intake manifold and putting in a z6 or y8 tranny with an exedy stage one clutch most likely. After those two essential parts of the build ill start putting he turbo in. I already have a garret t3/t4 gt ball bearing turbo, believe its a .40 trim? It's a small Lil snail. I already got all essential parts of te turbo build, oside tiger injectors, fuel pump, head studs, gaskets, oil lines, etc. my main question is :
I have a d16z6 cam laying around so I'm wondering if I can throw that in the d16y7 after a regrind? Will it fit is the main question.
P.S, please just help me out, I already tried researching... Non smart *** answers are deeply appreciated. Thank in advance, gabe.

Cam won't matter at that power goal. Stock is fine. Because upgraded cams require stiffer springs and titanium or tool steel retainers (my preference personally?
And an exedy stage 1 wont really handle the torque well. If you drove like am old woman then the clutch would last but doing burnouts and hard launches will vaporize the clutch rapidly. You need a ceramatallic clutch disc at minimum n
Also what engine management do you plan on using. I didn't see any reference to it
Also there's no such thing as a gt t3/t04e ball bearing turbo. Sounds like the Chinese eBay special
Post pics of what you have already. Focus on the turbo
And you can't the tell tim of a turbo by looking at the numbers on the housings. Those simply state the A/R of each housing amd have nothing to do with the wheels inside them. Only way to teuly know is to remove the housings and measure the wheels using a caliper
