What's up fellas, I've found a low miles LS engine that I want to throw in my hatchcrap and my future plans are boosting it to handle around 15psi when I need too. I just wanted to know what you guys would recommend for the buildup of the block/head to support a turbo setup. What mods/steps will ensure I get the most out of the turbo setup and maintain the highest level of reliability while boosting ~15psi occasianally? Thanks guys!

to handle 15psi...id reccomend rods(w/ ARP bolts), pistons and a nice block guard and dont forget to budget for a new clutch. Also maybe some ARP head studs and you might as well change the bearings while your in there

Stock LS rods are good to ~300 HP, not sure on the pistons though. Many, many people have run stock sleeves with more boost than that. Please use search, there is much more info on HT regarding this kindof thing than any person can give you.

Don't forget about the rings. Most often, its the rings failing before anything else.

you must be thinking of ring lands. The stock Honda rings are not bad at all.

i was wondering with a skunk2 intake manifold,crower springs&retainers,greddy exhaust,550cc injectors,hondata,and 16psi at the track does anybody think a 95 ls integra coupe with slicks can do 11.8-12.2 in the 1/4 on slicks. and with pistons&rods it can do it. also what do yall think of a ls/vtec turbo.
