Benson K Series Sleeved block
I shot these pix of a K series block in the process of getting sleeves at Benson Machine. That is not a finish hone on the sleeves. Check the fit between the sleeves. Just beautiful. Note the full girdle. This is the future.

Earl, are there support structures touching the cooling jacket walls in that set-up....or am I just seeing things? I'm pretty sure I see some AL? material just under the deck surface between the sleeves.
**answered below, I was thinking it was the original bore material, thanks for confirming Earl**

Actually what you see is part of the original block that is now used to hold those sleeves. Benson uses nothing but pure cylinders for his sleeves. They are custom made for him by Darton. Because of different rates of thermal expansion, Benson does not believe in closed decks or tabs pushing into the side of the block. I have never had a failure with the open deck and have never blown a head gasket in my personal race motor.
As to pricing, I am working on a special price for H-T members for B series motors. In the past, he has been more expensive than everyone else but that may change soon
BTW, wait until I post the pix of the offset bore ls block going into an allmotor racers car...name is secret

Looks real nice Earl. I am in the process of taking a potential order for a K series myself. Nice to see one beforehand.
