Benson B series sleeved block QUESTIONS
hi i was wondering if any of the FI guys with benson sleeved blocks can chime in. the problem is that i received my block back and the sleeves do not seem to be flush (i.e. the gaps in between the sleeves looks like it can pose as a potential problems).
i have never dealt with a sleeved block so i really dont know any better.
i have included pics below with arrows pointing to the gaps. are these gaps normal? will i have any problems down the road?
any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Benson B series sleeved block QUESTIONS
just got a e mail from Mike at LASKEY RACING pertaining to the problem (i sent it 5 minutes agO!):
".... As for the twist, totally normal. Its part of Bensons gapless sleeves. They are installed like that so that they wont twist. Part of the way that even though they are open deck, we get extra strength in the sleeves. I could understand why your friend might have thought that, it is just because he is uninformed with the new top technologies of sleeving. Block looks perfect and will take 50psi of boost just the way it sits. have fun and good luck with the build. BTW since your friend builds these engines, tell him to run his dial bore gauge down the cycl. He will be very impressed with the tolerance of the hone "
sorry for the worrisome thread but this information can be used now as a baseline for anyone that might have the same question that i did
thanks HT! stay tuned for build thread
