Alright fellas, it's common sense in installing a turbo kit on my car but I am sure going to be stuck in mig welding it and installing the turbo lines and so forth. I am going to do this with my cousin, we know how to work on these engines but when it comes to a turbo application we paused for a moment. It will be our first time trying this out and it sure will be a DIY moment. So the car is a 1990 crx si with a b18a1 engine. $150 (plus food and chicks) dollars depending if you are hardcore and badass at this stuff! I will be there helping ya out. You most likely will be guiding me.

And please no bashing or any of that. I aint no cheap bastard, it is just the only way of learning. I know I wouldnt do this with an s2k though, lol. Alright thanks guys. Hit me up!

You claim to not be a cheap bastard but I'm not sure if you realize $150 is not a lot of money. Especially when you're hiring someone you dont know to help you do a job that can easily take more than couple days to complete.

Id charge at least $60/hr if I could do the work myself, $75/hr if you watch, $100/hr if you help, and $150/hr to un-dumbfu*k your previous mistakes. True story, not bashing... ASE certified Honda tech; oh ya and a plane ticket from Phx...

typical install rate for the whole package if you have the parts is $400-500

and yes, if you help the price usually goes up since it wastes more time

Contact the user LSVTEC408, idk if he still frequents HT but he is in the San jose area. I bought a b16 off of him a while ago and he helped me swap it in cheap, it won't be $150 though. If you don't want to spend at least $400 I'd just look up a DIY and call up a friend

Nope I will be welding it myself. Im just looking for someone just to guide me thru it. Not install it for me. I would spend 500 to have it install but I want to learn to do it myself.

Nah the pipe I have is from Philip owner of spoolinperformance. custom pipe that fits my crx from throttle body to the intercooler. its easy, only thing I want help is in oil lines. Met this guy through here and he seems to have alot of knowledge towards this.

if all you really need help with is the oil lines that shouldn't be too bad. A: do it right to the best of your knowledge and B: have your tuner look it over when you take the car in to be tuned.

C: be prepared to pay the tuner a little extra to take the time to go over your work before tuning. He's there to tune, not grade your homework like some math teacher.
