Bad Idle after running hard >>
Car runs perfect normally, but sometimes after a couple of hard pulls it has trouble idling and sometimes dies. It always starts right back up with no problems.
The car never used to do this so I dont belive its something with the tunning. My bet is I need to change my plugs, but while im waiting for a new set to arrive I thought I would ask. Currently running BKR7E's @ .024 gap. They have been in the car for 500 or so hard miles.
Thanks,

Any pain in running the plugs until the new ones arrive besides degraded performance?

hmmm... im no d series guy, but im running ~16 psi on a t3 60-1 @ 9000 rpm with a bone stock ignition and plugs gapped at .030. Unless your running really rich (which according to ur dyno your not) a full boost run should clean off the plugs.
What is your AFR when its stumbling?

Not sure on the A/F. I dont have a wideband installed unless tuning. The narrowband is useless but it say RICH .

With ya... what are you thinking with the A/F.
The plugs were gapped so low because I was having serious issues blowing the spark about above 24psi.
thanks for the help

yeah .024 is not that big of a gap i run .020 on my DD, it stumbles a lil after hard pulls idling but it doesnt die or anything....
I would wait for the new plugs...

Ran the car pretty hard today. Put about 150 miles on her
Idle is still not heathly sometimes. I cant really find a pattern to it yet.
Could the IAC cause this? I guess I need the wideband hooked up to see what the A/F is.

Maybe, but its random and normally if I shut the car off and turn it back on idle is perfect again. PCV system has been removed and replaced with catch cans.
I will try and check my vac hoses when it happens again and see if I notice a leak.
Thanks for the input, keep it comming

Re: (platinum00)
I've had this same problem with my car for a while now. I've put new plugs in it and replaced every vacuum line on the car and it still does it. I turned the idle up to about 1K just so I wouldn't have to play with the gas so much at lights.

Re: Bad Idle after running hard >> (platinum00)
That's weird. I idle very well after runjing hard, but just cruisin the idle is a lil bumpy at least til I hit v-tec a few times then it purrs like a kitten at idle. Very confusing and sometimes frustrating.

well I decided I need a new paint job, so the car is ripped apart again. No glass, moldings, lights, etc...
Might be a couple of weeks before I get her done.
If no one has a solution, I will buy a Wideband and post of the readings to help.
It sounds like a couple of people are having this problem, so at least it's not just me
