Default B20B Turbo Questions

Ok So I recently started a new build. My whole plan is to eventually buy an EK hatch or something with a B16 in it then swap the b16 for the JDM B20B Turbo that I am currently building. While the B16 is out I will be putting the head in the machine shop so somewhere in the future (1 or 2 years) i can finally be B20/Vtec Turbo. But first thing is first I will be rolling around a B20 Turbo until then and its going to be built. I know alot about motors, how they work, what they need to run good, how to fix it all but i just dont know much about turbo setups because this is my first. The B20B is currently in the machine shop getting honed, cleaned, the works. The stock B20 crank is also being micropolished and the works. The LS head is also in the machine shop getting a port and polish. So currently the B20 is at 0 miles and is already in the machine shop waiting for orders. My build is listed below, its a semi build for good power and medium/high boost. I don't really have a HP goal at the moment but if i were to guess with this build somewhere between 300-400. Now on to the questions. These forged pistons I am planning on buying say they are for vtec but will they work just as well with a non-vtec head? im not really trying to spend $800 on two sets of pistons just because vtec is planned down the road. Second I am using a Cometic headgasket for sure but I don't know which size to use, what do u suggest? .040"? Also when I buy the head gasket for the vtec head do i buy it for a b16 or a b20? I don't have a shell at the moment so i wont do a build post yet but i will once i get the motor out of the shop

Yes. the pistons will work for you. as for head gasket. Buy a oem honda B20 Head gasket. Another thing. Using a B20 block puts you at a higher risk of cranking a sleeve. if you want to be 84mm get a sleeved block. b20's are known for cracking sleeves on just stock internals. And you Are building your motor for good power. and you arent even going to be able to make it without cracking a sleeve. either get a 81mm ls block or get a sleeved block.
