b20b turbo build. NEED HELP AND SPECS.
Within the next 4 months im putting a b20b block together plus head and building it for turbo. As it sits now its b20v with a gsr head. it either has bent valves or blown rings. Regardless its all gettin redone. I kno b20s have thin walls but im using this block anyways. i plan on using golden eagle sleeves to toughen up the walls, low compression pistons with nitrous rings(lil nos never hurt anybody).
Goal 400-500hp 10-20psi(what ever gets the job done) spraying if neccessary.
What i need to kno is with the sleeves for the b20, no bore, can i buy 84mm pistons?
what rods work well.( size? brand?)
Gonna use acl bearings.
Crankshaft. throwout the b20? go with new one? Whats the best bang for buck crankshaft?
Anything else to throw in on this turbo build?
dont worry bout the head, its gonna be full blown done too.
Your current turbo build to help to would be nice

Re: b20b turbo build. NEED HELP AND SPECS.
If you google 84mm pistons for b20. a billion websites come up...google is your friend. Keep the crank. they are steel cranks and strong as hell. remember that they came out of a truck. The b20 crank is a stroked gsr crank. Im pretty sure... but dont quote me. Its a torque son of a bitch lol. Just do yourself a favor and balance the crank. It really makes a difference. Even if you dont want to rev the **** out of it. Blance the crank. Block girldle kit would be a nice thing to consider. I just put mine on. ARP HEADS AND MAIN BOLTS!!! X1,000,000,000
Save the pain and just buy new ARP HEADS AND MAIN BOLTS!!!
I am doing the same thing you are doing at the moment. b20 turbo but i have darton sleeves with brian crower billet rods and je 9:1 forged fistions. The rings that are included are turbo/nos safe.

Well i would hope you would use the same size rod for the b20 lol just dont use the stock ones. My rods are about 7-800$$$ Of course they really dont get to much stronger than them. Eagle rods are very good. Google that untill you fond something that fits your budget.
