Default B20 VTEC TURBO HELP

I have a b20 vtec (B20B Bottom/Gsr Head/Gsr Trans)

I'm getting ready to turbo it. Im want to run the Garrett GT28RS "Disco Potato" Turbo with a custom Ram turbo manifold, RC440'S, 3" Piping, Tial bov, with Uberdata.

What's the max PSI I can run on that setup without building the bottom end or sleeving it? and what kinda HP ratings will that setup put out at 10psi?

Boost pressure is not what limits you, what limits you is power. b20's are known for having a bit weaker sleeves than their b18/b16 counterparts (due to the larger bore), but I have seen people turbo these with stock bottom ends past 300whp. My guess @ 10psi would be somewhere close to 300whp, dependent of course on the turbo you will be using. GL.

If I remember correctly that turbo is good to ~320hp. Not positive though. Remember that you need to set an hp goal and then figure out if that is acheivable with what you currently have. Learn to plot your engine flow on a comp map. Plot your flow and expected pr (pressure ratio) on the gt28rs comp map to figure out what kind of total flow you will have. You can learn how to do this by reading the faq's on the top of the f/i forum. Learn how to do this it will be an invaluable tool for you. There is a general analogy that 1lb/min of flow = ~10whp, if you use that you will have a gen idea of what to expect out of the setup. A lot of people prefer crome to uber, you might want to take a look into crome if your heart isn't set on uber. If I were you I would just make sure that I had a lot of confidence in the guy tuning my ride. Sounds like a fun setup though. GL.

np man.

Believe me I have a vague idea how expensive this **** is. Mid setup I changed everthing in my turbo setup except my im. And I still have all my old ****. ~$1400 or so just sittin in my garage. Sux. So I will just try to sell it for a loss or trade the mani/turbo/dp so I can get some stuff and turbo my d-series car.

Just one more frivilous thing to do with my life....
