Default b20/turbo questions...

I recently put my greddy turbo kit (18g inercooled)back on my crvtec set up..I dropped the compression to 9:1. The greddy kit comes with the 310cc injectors and that is what im using right now, but I put the high pressure fuel pump in to help out a little. I was wondering how much boost I can run safely with only using my vafc for tuning?? Ive already blown one motor dont wanna go for two..(and that was the b18c) I wanna put a fuel presure regulator on to max out the injectors until I can 440's and a hondata next year..but will my fuel management be sufficient right now??? I wish the greddy kit came with bigger injectors
TIA

You already have a vafc and a pump ? What about the DSM injector option ? Run you like $75.... $175 cleaned... someone is doing injector cleaning on the board for cheaper, I think.

First off, I don't have that setup... but prolly will get it when my turbos rebuilt... This is what I know from talking w/ others of knowledge:

DSM injectors off of particular model turbo eclipses (do a search on DSM injectors) are 440s or 450s. They come with OBD I clips that do not exactly match the honda clips, but can be modified to fit well. You can also purchase premade clips for 'em from RC engineering.
To run these injectors, you will need a resistor box from a late 80s/early 90s civic... (again... a search will get you the model years) I have also read that getting a resistor (I think 10ohm) from Radio Shack (4 of them) and doing some light soldering will yeild the same result as the resistor box. The DSMs are apparently a force fit... but they work and many people use them.

You can also get the injectors cleaned before use as they are older injectors. RC cleans for $80-$100 per set... and I think someone on the board cleans for less...(do a search again...)

With the Vafc, you can tune to run this high of an injector, with a good idle and reliable fuel delivery... 8psi should be quite do-able with this fuel option... especially since you already have a higher flow pump.

That is what he is talking about. The AFC hack.
No FMU and no check valves/missing link. Should save you some money.
If you do go this route you may want to get something to deal with timing though.
