Default b20 turbo... 220hp n 204 tq

sup guys i just bought this ek and it has a 99 crv block stock internals other than a block guard n arp head studs...
its has a t3/t4 turbonetics turbo on it with a cast iron manifold (no name)
runnning 10 lbs
it has uberdata mildly tuned
450 dsm injectors
aem fuel rail
2.75 down pipe all the way back no cat
i just went to carlisle pa and got it dyno at the wheels n the first run was 204 hp with 208 tq
then 2nd pull it got 219 hp and 203 tq top hp at 5400 rpm... wondering y am i not making good hp to like 7k? it seems to feel like boost is not getting full boost at after 5400 like it has boost stutter? i got 13.4 air/ fuel ratio like at 3k and when i go pass 5400 it seems to lean out to 10.5 any tips will help thanks

i also am not sure if this is the right hp where i should be at at i am really dissapointed...

The lower the number the richer you are. 13.5 is too lean and 10.5 is too rich.

oh i see , thanks .. what do u think it should be at i heard 11.5 is good? also is it normal to have good hp at 5400 rpm and then it goes down to like after it passes 5400 i thought it was supposed to have good hp to 7k ? thanks

Yes 11.5-12 is a good number to stay around on pump gas. Your torque will probably drop off around there, but I would think that your hp would max out close to redline.

It's an ls! It'll stop making power at 6200 and you can feel the drop off. Also, another reason why the motor may not be making is much as it should is the tune. The tune can make or break you. Leaning it out a bit with yield a few ponies but nothing too major. I would suggest a retune....good luck

torque will drop off, but his hp should probably keep climbing up close to redline. This means that his torque probably drops off really early.

yeah a re tune from a reputable tuner will net you more power, over the net there isnt really a way for us to look at your tune without a screen shot of your tables for fuel and timing. you are probably running some conservative timing, and rich on the top end just to be safe.

my first pull on my built b16 @ 14PSI WAS 204 HP we kept the boost the same and just tuned it and ended up with right at 285, so tuning is everything, i also get 30 miles per gallon now too

you "might" be loosing boost in the upper RPM's and thats why your not making great power up to 7000rpm.

watch the boost gauge to see whats going on.......
