Default b20 crank pulley--JRSC

Hey, right now i have a stock GSR running 6psi on my jackson racing setup. Im looking into goin about 9-10psi this summer with the b20 crank pulley. My question is, if i do a b20 crank pulley, will i have to change anything else on the car besides the belts? Also, are the timing notches on the b20 crank pulley the same, or would they be different?

thanks

timing notches are not the same make sure u set timing to stock specs before installin crv pulley so your tuner can add the correct amount of timing. i would not advise more than 6lbs on the JR FMU so if u do CRV pulley u wanna have a tunable ecu also

belt sizes are as follows when using just CRV pulley as boost upgrade

AC-34.7"-880mm
PS-35.5"-900mm
ALT-33.5"-850mm
BLOWER-24.5"-620mm- this belt size doesnt change when installin CRV pulley

cool, thanks for teh responses. Im planning on doing full exhaust (headers, test pipe, exhaust) and getting some bigger injectors w/ the b20 crank pulley, then overall getting some tuning done by jeff evans. how big should i get my injectors?

I would say 440s at a minimum but I would go to 550s if I were you.

BTW: I am also running a CRV pulley on my LS...are those timing marks the same cause obviously the CRV pulley is larger..........?

i dont know about the ls but on my GSR i set timing to 6btc, after i installed crv pulley i checked timing and it was at like 12 or 14 btc. but on the LS there isnt as much of a diff so it wouldnt throw it off as much, the GSR is smallest then LS then CRV

since i forgot to put timing back to stock i just had my tuner add the extra timing into my ignition map, but this is not the route i would advise. had i not realized that my marks were thrown off my tuner would have tried to set timing back to stock and then things would have been all screwed up

how many pounds of boost will the B20 pulley add on top of my stock 6psi rite now. I heard that the b20 crank pulley adds 3psi on top of whatever you have, is this true? so overall i would be at 9psi..?

are there any negatives to using the b20 crank pulley instead of just getting the supercharger nose pulley ?

the nose pulleys are prone to sliping

also, what kind of hi flo cat are you running, bc i have an obd2 car, so i need to run a high flow cat...unless i get a test pipe and run a chipped ecu right away..

I had the 4.0" w/ no problems but, I've heard the 3.8" one is the one to watch closely for slippage.

The main draw back to the CRV crank pulley is over driving the alt. As for SC nose pulley, I wouldn't go smaller than a 3.8" and go with a stepper pulley.
The LS crank pulley is larger than a GSR but smaller than a CRV.

I haven't seen any premature alt failures using the crv crank pulley, just hear people saying it's possible. I ran a crv pulley on a 100,000 mile alternator for quite a while.

It's also the easiest pulley to install, it'll bump you up 3 psi.

btw I'm not calling you out John

Anyone...are the timing marks the same on the LS as on the CRV pulley?

they should be a little off as the crv is bigger than the ls pulley but the only way to know for sure is to set ur timing and then change pulley then check it again

I have an 96 LS motor and I installed a Jackson supercharger on it and also took off the LS crank pulley and put on the b20 pulley like most people said to do. Does anyone know what Gates part numbers the alternator belt is and also the supercharger belt part number for gates? My parts dealer Only Carries Gates belts Is It K040233 and K040350? Or are those the part numbers for the LS crank pulley? Let me know Thanks I want to put them on tomo
