B18c5 which turbo for my application ???
Swapped into my crx i am looking for 330 horsepower.I will not be resleeving it and will change pistons and rods later on.Can anyone recommend a turbo for my application? The quicker the spool the better.I plan on running hondata,550 cc injectors, uel pump, afpr, log manifold.Anyone who has run this set up or help would be great.

I would change the pistons and rods before you boost it( or at the same time), your probably not going to make 330 on the itr pistons, they are too high of compression.
I'm making 333 whp on my stock gsr with a sc50 turbo.

why turbo your b18c5? those motors are great all motor engines. ran 12.8@104mph with just 190whp in a 2400lb chassis DA.

in the video i ran 13.1 had a bad launch 1.9 60ft. a week after that i ran 12.8@104mph 1.7 60ft

nitrous and allmotor go together pretty well. Sounds like a good route for you. Its not that high compression and turbo cant be done. It just doesnt always work too well with honda motors in regards to high hp. It makes for a small margin for error like excessive timing or lean conditions.. I say 75-100 shot and youll be happy.

what the hell is wrong with all of you.

the motor is fine to put a turbo setup on. do a compression and leakdown test before hand to make sure the block is in good order. make sure you have someone competent tuning it and you should have a really fun daily driver. if your pocket is deep enough the 28rs or 2871r would get you to your 330 goal and will be tons of fun on the street, although if your looking for some room in the future, a 3037r or a t3/t04e 57 trim should do you nicely.

I have no problem with people turbo'ing ITR blocks, I could care less, I'll probably end up doing it myself.... but for the sake of it IMO I think there are better honda blocks to destroy with nitrous than thee finest symbol of honda engineering. Seriously get a b18b and blast the **** out of it, but save the c5..... Obviously i'm not saying what i think is right by any means but I guess I just have a lot of attachment to ITR items....... go figure.

Re: B18c5 which turbo for my application ??? (downtime1)
running a t3/t04 60 trim .63 a/r at 10 psi the car runs great, i still dont know how many whp i got as its only street tuned, it starts spooling a little over 3k.
I did get a thicker hg just in case, as my itr motor was 11:1 and some arp headstuds (at least the studs i´d recommend u to get).
Its not my daily driver but it feels nice to drive on the street, not that laggy.

Re: B18c5 which turbo for my application ??? (RedR)
You could always sell the R, buy a GSR, rebuild it fresh along with pistons/rods - and still have money left over.
But if you choose to boost it, a great turbo for 330 would be an SC50 or a GT28RS. I'd guess you'd want the cheaper of the two, since the extra for a BB turbo would otherwise pay for forged pistons. You *will* want to run a conservative timing map, as well as 93+ octane, and get it tuned BEFORE you drive it on a dyno.
If you plan on boosting on an overpriced, hi-comp motor, then you should be doing it right the first time.
