Default ... b18c1 with 83mm bore and ls crank - 2.0

... i know that a gsr with an 83mm bore is about 1.9 liters... so i was wondering if the ls crank would push it to 2.0... just curious...

[edit] : also, can someone tell me the exact displacement a gsr block will have with an 83mm, 84mm, and 84.5 bore... thanks...

A b18c with 83mm pistons will get you close to 1.9 still a 1.8. A b18c with ls rods and ls crank will get you to a 1.9, and a b18c with 1s crank and rods with 84mm pistons will be identical to b20 I believe 1975cc's? pretty close to 2.0 . 85 mm would get it almost to 2.0 I dont know the exact specs, some people on here that actually passed ther math class can figure out the exact displacement, I know that what I said is the ball park. You could use a 1991 prelude crank to push it to 2.05 liters, but you probably don't want to do that. 95mm x 83mm is stock in the b21a. I have a b21a crank if you want to buy one.

b18c with LS crank WONT be identical to a b20, they have diff deck hieghts. also i think an LS crank in a b18c will require custom rods.

I am pretty sure the b18a,b,c and b20b,z have the same deck heights. The B16 is the one with the shorter deck height. You can put an ls crank in a b18c block if you use ls rods. You will essentially have an ls motor with oil squiters and a girdle.

All of the B18 and B20 blocks have the same deck heights.

It will fit believe me, and the ls and gsr deck heights are the same

yup, and if you do an LS crank with an 84mm bore, then you just have a B20 with oil squirters and no external line.

By my calc's, these are the displacements you would get.

83mm Bore x 87.2mm Stroke (GSR) = 1.887L
83mm Bore x 89.0mm Stroke (LS) = 1.926L

83.0mm Bore x 87.2mm Stroke (GSR) = 1.887L
83.5mm Bore x 87.2mm Stroke (GSR) = 1.910L
84.0mm Bore x 87.2mm Stroke (GSR) = 1.933L
84.5mm Bore x 87.2mm Stroke (GSR) = 1.956L
85.0mm Bore x 87.2mm Stroke (GSR) = 1.979L

83.0mm Bore x 89.0mm Stroke (LS) = 1.926L
83.5mm Bore x 89.0mm Stroke (LS) = 1.949L
84.0mm Bore x 89.0mm Stroke (LS) = 1.973L
84.5mm Bore x 89.0mm Stroke (LS) = 1.996L
85.0mm Bore x 89.0mm Stroke (LS) = 2.020L
