Default b18c or b18b ????? 18psi turbo

I want to have a built motor so I can push 18psi. What do I need to change out to make this dream come true? (pistons, cam, ect.) And which motor would be a better fit do make these changes. P.s. This is going in a hatch....

I don't want to go into the specs of what you need to do, however I would take the b18b.

i would go with a gsr motor your going to need to build the block pretty strong low comp pistons, h beams, etc as for the head its your call if you want to go with turbo cams or not... just make sure you get a good tune with that much psi thats where its all at

Welcome to h-t. On the top of this forum there is a thread titled
***Forced Induction Forum FAQ***. If you look there you will find a large amount of data for you to learn about turbocharging your engine. If you don't find it there then you can search. There is a red search button in the upper right corner of every page here. Remember that if nothing comes up when you search to try using the "archived" option.

There is a current thread though that might help you out, try this.....
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1263795

Current convention here is that stock b-series bottom end will handle 300whp, stock b-series sleeves with forged pistons and rods will handle 400whp and for 400+ whp you should probably sleeve the block. Your goal should be based on power not boost psi, you will learn why this is the case when you really dive into the subject. I would suggest that reading through the FAQ's, then searching a bit for your questions will answer 95% of them. If you can't find the answer, I'm sure someone here can help you out. Good luck.

PS - The b18a/b will be less expensive, rev lower and the heads don't flow quite as well as a vtec engine. Of course the b16, b18c (type r or gsr) will have better flowing heads, rev higher but will cost you probably 2-3 times as much as a b18a/b.
