b18b1 turbo finished and dynoed, but unsatisfy (pics)
b18b1 stock
port & polish intake manifold
255 walbro fuel upmp
450's dsm injectors
s200b hondata
t3/t4 .57 trim, ar50
turbosmart wastegate
hks ssq (generic)
227.8 hp and 210 tq at 9.5psi
not quite happi wit the results, i thought i would hit at least 250 hp @ 9.5psi
227.8 hp and 210 tq at 9.5psi
I wonder what i should do next? do head work so i can rev higher, or do block work so i can boost more?
This is for future reference, i dont have money right now but imma save up and add more to it winterbreak. I think imma be able to save up 1-2grand by then. What ya think i should invest that on? head or block?

That looks to be on point for a stock LS motor w/ that turbo at that boost pressure. I'd be happy if I were you. What the LS lacks in WHP it makes up in Torque. Torque is what gets the mass moving . Nothing but a turn of the boost controller needs to be done to get more power. The stock LS will hold 300whp and be very reliable on a good tune. At 300whp the tq. will be through the roof as well and you'll be stoked! Time to turn it up

It isn't the tuners fault my friend. I think they are respectable numbers on 9.5 psi. I would be very happy.

Re: (playboyace35)
There are a few ppl here that have 13-15 psi daily driver LS-T's. One I remember ran 2 years at 10-11 psi, sold it, and the buyer ran it for a year at 13-14 psi w/o problems.
Its only bad over 10 psi if it's a high-mile motor or he can't tune it.

Re: (HiProfile)
"XX psi" isn't the limitation. The limitation is the HP output which is about 300whp on the OE longblock w/ a good tune! 10psi from a t25 and 10 psi from a mid sized to4e aren't the same thing. Understand? IMO, mileage isn't a factor either. If 150K motor has the same compression and leakdown numbers as a motor w/ 10K on it then what is limiting the HP output? I've had 2 very high mileage boosted LS motors(one of which is in my car right now). Hopefully it'll be getting into the 11's on street tires soon Tuning is key

Re: (hondaguyef)
already imma turn up the boost to 13 or 14 psi, and find myself a better tuner. since the last tuner thinks 10 psi is bad for my car lol, he suggested 8psi for me lol.

Re: (playboyace35)
You probably would have made like 275whp by just adding a vtec head. That worthless head is the first thing you need to get rid of. Building it up the right way will cost a shitload of money though.

so, when i tune it for 13-15 psi, am i suppose to have race gas in there too? or pure 91 octane

no regular 93 octane (we have thagt in FL) will do just fine. My numbers are right there with you, 232@11psi. Dont feel bad, some people just have good motors from the get go.

log manifolds are only good up to 300hp?
also im in caliofrnia so prem gas is 91 octane..will that work for 13-15 psi?

Ask your tuner what your total Timing at that boost pressure will be and then let us know we may be able to help.

Not to be a dick, but maybe there was a reason why he didn't want to push your car over 10psi...The tuners job isn't to make power, its to make that power safe, smooth and useable. The setup makes the power, and your setup is right where it should be @ that boost level.
