toolymejia's Attempt at creating a B18B1 300+whp project
hello so i have a b18b1 i plan on going turbo i dont really have a tight budget but dont think i have money to blow either i just want to build it as i go my goal is to reach 300whp more or less so far i have arp studs, wiseco piston and piston rings and eagle rods on my list i have to take my block to the machine shop to bore it and i would like to get it sleeved i wanna have an idea of how much that would cost and where would be a good machine shop to do it at ? if i would need to sleeve it and what would be the next step ? put on the turbo and tune or work on the head and go from there ?

you will be able to make 300whp with just the list you've made so far, no need to sleeve the block if you're on a tight budget.
i can't speak from experience about where you can get your machine work done, maybe post your location and see if anyone near you has advice on that.

400whp stock sleeve will be ok if you use good pump gas.
You will also need valve springs and retainers.Id spend the sleeves's money into mfactory lsd.
Laskey does the block job with cp/eagle for 2500$.Sleeves are 1200$ more if you really need sleeves

No reason to sleeve it at all. Put that money towards a vtec head and quality turbo parts/tune and you will be much happier.
incase you don't know sleeves are completely unnecessary for anything under 400hp and IMO pointless for a street car.
my piston and rod b18c makes 430 on pump gas all day long never even worry about my sleeves.
