Default ArgonB18's B18b1 Turbo Progress build

What's up guys. New to the forum and have been reading/researching a lot from multiple threads and the ls turbo thread mostly because it is hands down one of the most informative around.
So I will start off with my goals, plans, and budget.
My goal is to build a turbo b18b1 and throw it into a 92-94 EG hatch.
My goal for boost since this will be my first build is tops 300 to keep it reliable and easy for me to build since I am relatively new to building Honda Engines.
My budget for this build stands at around 5-6k depending on how far i want to go to make a 300whp Daily/Street car. No track
I love the EG hatch body style and have wanted it ever since i bought my first Honda about 4 years ago (2000 Accord sedan f23a)
Recently i thought it was a good idea to actually learn the ways of a B18B1 so i bought a relatively cheap 93 B18b1 engine that included the stock head,IM,block, a few mounts (one driver side motor mount, alternator) a timing belt and the crank pulley. The engine was only $100! And especially since it was all together when i got, it would be a good experience for learning by taking it apart/ have a few extra stock parts with it. To be honest it is in a decent shape and has unknown milage+the seller said it has a knock somewhere but since i am not going to use it for the build i didn't mind. I also really hope this motor was not stolen lol. I bought it from someone in queens, New York. The seller also had a ls swapped Eg hatch. but besides the fact here is what i am planning for my setup so far.
Motor:
-B18b1 Block Not sure of what year but I need an OBD1 to swap into the hatch.
-Also not sure if i should get sleeves or a block guard for 300whp i might consider just for extra insurance or future upgrades.
-p&p stock b18b head
-Arp head studs/Rod bolts
-paulter or eagle h-beam rods.
-Arias/Cp 9:1 pistons (forged of course) 84mm
-Moroso or just oem oil pan
-oem head gasket
-Skunk2 intake or a custom fabricated by myself
-Act extreme stage 4 pressure plate w/ exedy organic disk
-ls crower springs/ Ti retainers
-ls crower stage 2 turbo cams 402 t-2
-ITR water/ oil pump
-Blue ngk Spark plug wires
-skunk2 cam gears
Turbo:
Since I am going for a quick spool i might decide on a..
-Garret t3/t04e 57 trim .48 ar or a sc50 t3/t4 50 trim
-tial 38mm waste gate
-greddy bov
-Not sure of exhaust manifold yet might just make my own
-2.5 intercooler piping
-greddy or street imports intercooler
-3" down pipe
-spoolin charge pipes
Fuel Management:
-Warlboro 255 pump
-550cc injectors.
Also thinking about a gsr trans opposed to an ls
Thats all i have so far, and anything that has to do with exhaust/metal piping i can fabricate myself for a cheaper price since i am a welder and possibly the intake/exhaust manifold with the right design/materials.

I also didn't jot down any electronics or ecus because i still need to do more research on that. Just need some right directions on these parts and any others that i might or might not need to make 300whp! thanks guys! Bseries all the way!

Please check the LS-T B18B forum just before your thread. That is the best place for your information. Welcome to H-T

Well, unfortunately, you'll find better ideas from the LS-T forum. This topic had been covered so many times, that sadly, you'll get no other replies than to be told to go to the FAQs, section and the other thread to get your answers..But don't expect them to just be given to you..

Good luck, and welcome, sir..

300hp?

I would honestly just test the block, compression test or leakdown

as far as the turbo maybe a garrett 50 trim or look at the stc hunter

again look the the faq, larger fuel pump and injectors are a must, other then that I can only suggest go-autoworks order a kit and be done with it

GSR trans or better dont bother with LS trans, EMS hondata all the way http://www.brfittings.com/index.php?...facturer_id=11 has the best deals on that give him a call he will hook you up

Read through my old build thread. I basically did what you are trying to accomplish in the most basic and cheapest way possible. Btw you can't/shouldn't bore a b18 block with stock sleeves to 84mm, stick to 81-81.5mm pistons. Good luck with your build.

Thanks for the replies guys! I'll start pulling the trigger on the build once I get all my facts straight.
