Re: b18b1 stock fuel pump and turbo
you wouldnt make it past about 7 psi of boost or around 225hp because the fuekl pump cannot keep up with the fuel pressure or flow demand. Spend the 78 bucks and get the damn pump

i actually did this back on 2006 with a budget build and ran stock pump with 450s and was pushin 9psi daily and tracked it at around 14 psi spiking to 17psi. dont ask me how it stayed together that i dont know but it did break up alot up around 5500rpm lol only kept it that way for about 2 months tho. sure was fun! hah btw it was on a stock b16a

ive run a stock pump on more than 225whp before. just for a few days actually. had my eye on the wideband the entire time i got on it (which was like 3 times) it never leaned out. now i dont recommend it, glad you got the new pump on order. to sum up my experience...dont try this at home, dont try this at home, yeah it worked somehow, dont try this at home...

OP: Without a better fuel pump (and tune) your setup will be terribly unreliable and chances are you will blow your engine. Save the $100 for a Walbro and a few more dollars for a tune...you'll be glad you did
