B18B Swap/Turbo Install Woes...
Ok, not a rookie, but some questions...
Backround: '93 Del Sol, originally D16Z. My old setup/motor died. (B20VTEC). Bought a B18B, not going to run VTEC anymore, I have my reasons. Last engine had no install problems. Anyway...
1. Running a P28 ECU w/ Hondata. To run the B18B, I set the VTEC point to 8000 RPM with a rev limit of 7500. I getting a CEL with no codes, and the VTEC oil pressure signal "flickers"- BTW I'm using a wire harness from a auto... noo plug or wire changes were done. Car starts and runs fine. Getting CEL before starting car. Do I need a P74 ECU?
2. Turbo (F-max kit) no longer fits properly. Grinder? I'll need to cut into the VIN on the motor?
3. I ordered the throttle cable with the engine... '2000 Integra LS. The pedal end is different (bottom) than the original '93 Del sol (top). I combined the two to work, but is there a specific year cable that will fit ? (Would be the same for 92-95 Civic)
4. I'm going to run one line from the manifold to the BOV/ WG/ Boost controller. Has anyone done this?
Thanks...

looks good, but you could have gotten a vac mani and probably saved some $. Also, you might want to watch those SS lines, as the move from normal driving they might scratch things etc.

When running a non-vtec with a p28, u also have to disable the vtec pressure and solenoid in romeditor and check non-vtec ecu. That should take care of the CEL.

when i put the b18b in my 95 coupe, i made abracket that would work with the existing civic cable, it mounted to the same points on the im, it just moved the little holder tab thingy way over to the passenger side, worked GREAT. i can send you a pic if you want me to take one, or i could sell it to you for like $10. i have no need for it anymore. i was gonna ebay the thing or soemthing, but id rather help out a fellow ht'er.

Re: B18B Swap/Turbo Install Woes... (TurboTegB18c)
Ok... thanks again for the input...
Sill having problem with P28 in Non-VTEC.. grounded VTEC switch signal, but still getting code 21 and CEL. I have Hondata 4B w/ ROMEditor 2.5, it doesn't have a "non-VTEC" check box?
What version of the software is needed for this? Can someone jst e-mail me an image?
Thanks...
The intake pipe still doesn't sit rignt, need to get a 3" soft connector
Tubing runs finished w/o banjo installed...
Turbo CAI!
Return line (Sweet)
3" exhaust, cat and muffler (Magnacore)
Golden Eagle oil block feed
Trick Oil gauge!
