Default ...B18B motor rebuild Question...

well HT. the time was finally come to plan on boostin my B18B, i just picked one up from my boy for cheap. its out of a 96 LS(130,xxx miles), i would like to stay non vtec and tryin to keep a cheap bugdet on the motor rebuild itself and try to focus more on the turbo. lookin to make around 250-300whp on a Dailly Driver DC4.

My question is, what should i do to the motor to prep it for the boost. should i focus more on the head, or the block cuz ive asked around at some shops and they all give me different answers, should i do both. like i said, im not lookin to make too much power, as it is a DD.

Thanks in Advance...

What kind of budget do you have? If you can, just rebuild the head and block. If the motor is in GOOD condition and was never abused or severely overheated or anything like that, you could just leave it how it is and boost it.
