Default B18a1 obd0 ecu

I was wondering what ecu I would need if I boosted my 1990 integra. I'm gonna start getting parts together for the kit. I only want around 200-220 hp. I'm only looking to spend 1500-2000 on everything including a tune.

For the budget you stated, i can only imagine that you might be able to get a used kit. It will probably need repairs that will take you above your budget.

The only thing I know of as far as tuning a chipped obd0 ecu is turboedit. it's pretty basic in terms of functionality... ignition, fuel, rpm, that's about it.

in order to run the more advanced, feature packed tuning software you need to convert up to OBD1.

as far as a kit that cheap check out go goautoworks... their entry kits are quality and complete but the kit alone will eat your budget.

I'm order to get what you want withing budget you're gonna have to go used, junkyard setup, or eBay, no other option... expect more if paying someone to install the parts.

if you bring your budget up 500-1000 you can get the goautoworks street or tuner kit, convert to OBD1, get a chipped ecu, and go from there.

yeah basically

a quality entry turbo kit (just the hard parts) will run about 2k. then there's the cost to covert to OBD1 (obd1 distributor, ecu conversion harness, alternator conversion/jumper harness, OBD1 ecu, cost to chip ecu *varies depending on software chooses*, plus the cost of a burner or emulator)

then you've got ARP headstuds and new headgasket, stronger clutch (mandatory), bigger fuel pump, injectors, aftermarket map sensor (if running over 11-10psi), some form of boost control (manual or Mac solenoid if ecu supports it, or standalone unit), boost gauge, oil pressue gauge, wideband gauge (all gauges mandatory for basic turbo car), 3" or 2.5" exhaust, little detail **** the kit didn't include (possibly some fittings, oil feed and return line/fittings)

then there's the cost to tap the pan for the return, cost to install the turbo components, fuel system, gauges, wiring to convert to OBD1 most shops charge 65-80 per hous or more. obviously it's mostly free if you do it yourself, depending on how valuable your time is... also if you aren't comfortable doing it then let a pro do it as there are many things you could overlook or forget that could lead to engine damage/failure, costly damage to car, fire hazard, or even harm/kill you or others.

then there's tuning costs.

so easily you're at 4,000 or more just for the basics with quality parts installed correctly (this assumes there are no labor costs) if there's labor costs add on another 1500-2000 easy.
