are b18 sleeved and b20 sleeved blocks the same sleeves?
i got a b20 sleeeved block and its bored out to 86mm. i really want to turbocharge it but everybody says its to thin. my question is, compared to a b18 sleeved block that is 81mm stock then bored to 83mm will still be fine for turboing just not high boost. my b20 is sleeved 84mm stock and bored to 86mm, its still only 2mm bigger as the b18 sleeved. are the b20 sleeved just a bored out b18 sleeved or a different set.

most aftermarket sleeves come in 81mm then are bored out to whatever needed. They have the same exact wall thickness. The only difference is b16 sleeves are shorter in length compared to the b18/b20 due to its shorter deck height.

It's not that the sleeve is to thin its that the section between cylinders is too narrow to hold the head gasket under high boost.The b18 and b20 are the same thickness.
