A B17 GSR would work - Yes it does matter - OBD2 cars require different oil pumps. OBD2 cars have the crank angle sensor built into the oil pump assembly. Check a part number for a 95 GSR oil pump, and then check ir for a 96 GSR oil pump and it is different. - I had to find that out the hard way. OBD1 pump on an OBD2 car = Crank angle code

Its not "built in", but the housing is cast different to allow the use of the CPS.

ok cool, yea.. the car is using a p28.. its obd1..
So i can use this b17 oil pump, or should I just buy a new b18c Gsr pump?
