Default B16a2 w\ drag turbo kit

I have a 92 civic with a b16a2 in it. Im going to be putting in the drag gen 3 kit(t3/t4....7psi) in in very soon. I know that the kit comes with a fuel pump, fmu and map bypass. I have a jdm p30 in the car right now and was wondering if i take the car to get it tuned, can they chip the p30 or should i just get a p28 and have them work with that? Any other suggestions regarding tuning would be greatly appreciated also.

I believe that they can chip the P30, but don't hold me to that. As for tuning you'll need the hondata S200 with boost option. You will also need a fuel pressure regulator if you tune your car. Also if the pump is an inline fuel pump, get rid of it ASAP. Just buy the walboro 255 or something like that. But yes, definitely get tuned.

inlines mess up the pressures. I can't give you any technical data as to why, but I know that it just screws up the pressures. I had an inline on my before I tuned with Hondata. I was also told that the inlines are very bad and can cause damage to the motor......I dropped in a walboro and it fixed my a/f levels alot and actually I gained 20 whp hahaha....I have the dyno graphs if you want to see them (before and after the walboro). If uberdata is like hondata or AEM, then no you need to take off the FMU and you'll will need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. You need this because the program is what you will use to adjust the amount of fuel going to the engine at any given point.

I am not familiar with uberdata but I would assume that it is capable of running a gm 3 bar map sensor and if it can you can dith the missing link.I would check to see if uberdata supports the use of the map ?

For injectors, it depends on your power goal. It is said that 440's will give about 300whp. You can always buy bigger ones (for growth), and make them idle well if you don't use them to their extent. For the MAP, just leave the bypass check valve and the stock MAP sensor on it as is. Just cut the wires and wire in the GM 3 Bar if you are going over 11psi. This way you won't lose your bypass valve in the drag kit if you have to go back to stock for like an emissions test or something. It looks funny, but I just tell people it's so I don't lose it

Yea, if you're only going to run at 7psi then you don't need the 3 bar MAP sensor. Now if you hit 11psi or anything over that, make sure you have the 3 bar in place and operational BEFORE you hit or go over 11psi or bad news will be coming your way very very fast. But at 7psi, just use your stock MAP sensor and you'll be good to go.

Now if you do get the 3 Bar, I do believe that Hondata has information and diagrams on how to wires it up and stuff. If not, I know that when you buy the GM 3 Bar it has directions with it. At least it did when I bought mine. If it is a real must, I might be able to locate the directions, scan it and post it for you.

thanks for all the info Dunc, greatly appreciated.........so im guessing i dont need to use the map bypass if im going to be using uberdata because then the ecu would be set up to see boost(am i correct?)????

To be honest, I don't know a definite answer for that because I haven't used uberdata.....but my "educated guess" would be yes you would not need the bypass, probably about 75-80% sure on that one.
