Default b16a1 turbo - Good or Bad?

I just bought a b16a1 for my sol to replace the blown up d16 (12+lbs on stock everything didn't work out too well for me unfortunately) and I am considering just dropping it in like stock and building it up all motor. BUT, I dont wanna get rid of my turbo. I miss it already and hate to see it go away. Should I even put my time/money/effort into boosting the b16? Ive been told that its a waste because the compression is a bit on the higher side, but that can be lowered. Let me know what you guys think, i'm new to this turbo world.

Who cares if it is on the higher side. B16's are getting boosted everyday. I would boost the b16 and be happy with it. You can get away with a turbo on b16,b18c5,gsr all those high compression motors. All in tuning

Yeah boosted b16s suck, they don't make very much torque. You cant run very good times with them, But know what sucks even more, trying to make a N/A b16a fast.

Dude you seriously need to do some research before you post again. You will find several 250+whp stock block b16's on here and even a few 300+whp b16a's with nothing more then a thicker headgasket.

i dont know about EMS for tuning...i would be more apt to say hondata(if you want to spend the money) or uberdata(if you dont want to spend the money.

a friend and i are building a b16 turbo right now....we are using LS pistons..compression will be about 8.6:1, other than that we are just freshening up the motor with bearings...seals...gaskets..etc.

we are pushing for 300+whp, hopefully it works out

good luck with your setup though
