B16A Del Sol Turbo Build

Reading up on the FAQs and the entire B16a turbo setups thread I decided on what direction I want to go with my turbo build. Here’s what I have: B16a, stock internals, stock exhaust, bought with aftermarket intake and wires.

My expectations:
300whp with boost range no more than 1 bar. (See turbo size below)
Not a daily driver, neither a track nor drag car but reliability in mind.

Here is my plan:
Since my water pump went kaputz, I ordered a new OEM water pump/timing belt, and will be replacing with an OEM head gasket. At the same time will be installing ARP head studs and main studs, Yonaka Radiator, and a Mishimoto thermostat. Resurface the Head while it’s out as well.

Here’s what I’m looking at getting:
Comp Clutch Stage 4
Hasport Engine Mounts
Walbro Fuel Pump 255 LPH
Garrett GT2860RS Ball Bearing .63 a/r (S Race Kit found on Go-Autoworks) GO-AUTOWORKS Turbo Kits Honda Civic Acura Integra H22 F20B D16 B16 B18
SS Mini-Ramhorn
NGR Iridium spark plugs PFR7G-11S
3 inch DP and Thermal Exhaust with a Straight Test Pipe
Tuned on Hondata S300

Is that turbo size too small to achieve the power, should I step up to the GT3076? Should I get bigger injectors, tb, im, fuel rail, cam gears?

Since I bought it this past year I’ve been working on things here and there. Changed out the suspension to Progressive coilovers…

For 300whp and some with fun spool characteristics you have one of the best turbos anyone here will recommend....the manifold combo will only compliment that with the power goal in mind.....

With the ARP mains you'll need the crank mains align honed....personally I wouldn't stress the mains for that power range but the head studs are bolt on....

Theirs more you'll need such as injectors...id do ID 725's an some will say just get the 1000's since their roughly the same price range for that much more capability.....you seem like you've done your home work this far so I'd keep reading....

I'm close to 300whp with 750's on 91. My idc's are right around 45%. If you plan on staying around 300-350 and are on pump, then the 725's will be a good choice. Shouldn't have any issue making 300whp on your set-up.

I wouldnt worry about the arbitrary 1bar boost limitation you've set upon yourself. That turbo is perfect for your goals, but you may have to spin it up a little more than you're planning to make 300whp.

As for injectors, look for something in the 550-720cc range for pump gas, up to 880s for e85.
TB, IM, and cam gears are worth looking into if you have the budget, but are not necessary.
Upgraded fuel rail is a complete waste of money unless you're planning to run a rail-mounted adjustable FPR (again, unnecessary for your goals)

Otherwise, you're on the right track
