Default B16 turbo questions

I have a peak boost turbo kit sitting in my room right now ready to go in for the most part. would stock injectors be ok wit only 6psi seeing i have very limited money right now and this is going to be budgetly done till i get sponsered by my friend in a couple months. would i be able to just put the kit on for now and just run it stock with no tuning? i know a decent amount about cars but i would like to know what other people have to say and what others would do. i can buy injectors for 260 but then i will not have money for tuning so this is my problem. any ideas or suggestions would be nice. just no haters bout what i have wrote. thank you to all

Do it right the first time. What size are your injectors now?

i can buy 450s for 260 but then i wont have enough to tune it right now. i was figuring just put the kit in now for 2 months then my friends gonna have money to sponser. i downloaded the basemap Crome program but i dont think i will be able to tune it from just downloading that.

are you planning on tuning the car yourself? if so I would make sure that you are fully understanding of the process and have the proper tools (wideband etc). Otherwise bring it to a competant tuner who has access to a dyno. As far as injectors go, I would get at least DSM 450cc injectors because they are cheap and reliable, otherwise purchase new ones such as precision or RC http://www.tunertoys.com/categ...ck=50

The stock injectors are 240cc and will be pretty much maxed out around the 160-170hp mark. Set your power goals, use injectors calculator and get the right size you need and maybe with room for expansaion in the future.

Do not take chances with an important component such as injectors and fueling. If this thing goes lean on such stock injectors your engine is as good as starting a rebuild.

At an average 17% power loss through transmission, you need to be running 320hp @ the crank to get 260whp (these are rough estimated figures). I doubt if these people ran that setup on stock injectors, besides it looks like they are just advertising for a turbo kit and nothing relate to injectors.

Injectors might be able to support a slightly higher power than what they rated for but this should not be depended on and try to avoid by all means running injectors over 80% duty cycle.

Try some of the injector calculators below:
