Default b16 turbo questions

i've just got a few questions for everyone. i've ordered a greddy turbo kit for my 99 civic si and i've been looking around and looks like everyone has taken there fans out? do you have to take the fan out in order for the turbo and manifold to fit? also i'm gonna be running it without an intercooler for a week or two would it fine as long as it's on low boost like 5 psi?

You can run without the intercooler for that boost, but why do so, if its only a week or 2? You'll just have to take the bumper off again and do more work. You also don't know if the engine has other issues to deal with in terms of heat. Many motors have blown on 5 psi, so don't think it couldn't happen.

The fans are kept in on the stock kit. Simply switch to a SPAL,FAL or other slimline, or you can even notch the OEM fan housing to fit the compressor.

Please RE-READ my 3 suggestions for fans. they are very clear.

Then hold off and do it right, or listen to shodan and caught your fan shroud.

they do have fans, there just slim fans, your car would overheat at every redlight if you didnt have a fan.
