B16 Turbo Install am i going overboard or am i undercutting?
I'm getting a B16 vtec from a junkyard for my 94 civic DX, im getting the tranny, harness and motor, ecu, etc. everything i need for my swap.
This is what im thinking about doing
Engine/Fuel:
JE or Wiseco Pistons Bore'd ( turning the 1.6 into a 1.9L)(*note: I'm having problems with debating on compression ratios.50% say low 50% say high please help on that subject.)
Skunk2 Turbo Camshaft stage 2
Crower's valve Springs, Retainers, Cam gears, and valves
Crower 4340 Steel Billet Connecting Rods.
Bosch or Walbro Fuel pump
Blitz Fuel Injectors - 700cc
---------------------------------------------------
Turbo Side:
Garrett GT3788R Dual Ball Bearing Turbocharger
Blitz Intercooler Kit
Type RS BOV ( ive been listening to them on youtube i like the rs sound better? LOL brand not yet decided)
----------------------------------------------------
Exhaust:
Any recommendations on manifolds?
Full 3.5"
----------------------------------------------------
ECU:
Hondata S300
----------------------------------------------------
Any recommendations or creative criticism would be appreciated. This would be my first everything for going this far into something. So if my terms are incorrect please correct me, i know i have tons to learn. after i put this thing together i do plan on driving to Evans tuning.
If anyone has a comparable setup please post and tell me what you dyno'd on that. i dont really have a goal per-say i just want to kick some ***
On that note, i would like some of you to guess on what this would pump out. (besides a blown motor, i know there's some smartass out there LOL)
This will be a daily driver.
Thank-you all very much in advance,
Tom

First things first... what are your goals? What Kind of power/street use/torque/etc are you looking for?
Thats a big turbo, the turbo cams are junk, stick with a CTR or Sk2 Stage1 NA cam set up, Those injectors will be good for about 500whp tops, and dont go any bigger than 3" exhaust. You dont want to lose torque.

What you need to do is research and more research. How much did you plan to bore the stock sleeves to? I can tell you that nobody is going to help you so you need to read. This question is asked almost every single day and its usually ignored by most.

turning the b16 into a 1.9 requires a gsr crank, and special rods to fit the short deck. looks like you have a lot of learning to do.
