b16 turbo build, Looking for 15-18 psi What CR Pistons, Rods, Etc Sleaving or NOT
running b16 at 7 psi for a year now and ready to step it up big time I hit 10psi when it was real cold and the car MOVED, I want to jump to 15+ and roll with the big boys. Want to stick with the B16 give me your thoughts on best CR, Pistons, Rods, Head Studs, Block Guard or Sleaving, fuel set up. I ran a 13.00 107 on the 7psi and am looking for low 12s. Is this reasonable with uping from the 7psi to 15 or so?

internals, try to be around 10.1:1 compression, hondata or EMS, or uberchip.
550cc or larger injectors. fuel pump. t3/t4 turbo should work fine.
post more of your current setup.
oh ya, sleeve if you can afford it...

I have a 96 Hatch, b16+ Type R Trans, Drag III Kit, apexi Avcr Boost Controller, Aem Fuel Rail+Pressure REgulator. Type R Fuel Injectors. Msd Ignition. Thats all as far as engine mods. You really think 10:1 seems high for turbo? What I want to do is get a spare block and build that. And for the time being drop in a head gasket/head studs and a block guard maybe and bring it to like 12psi to have some fun while I wait for the other block. Its not my daily driver so i don't really car if I have it down for a while. Thanks for the help.

Pretty much what Tinker said. You want to stay around 10:1, and rely on tuning, rather than low compression, to take you there. With the proper setup, you'll be unstoppable, with great low, mid, and high end.

I wish I lived in texas or Cali or something where they have all these bad *** tuners. 10:1 is fine by me but I just thought I always heard it was best to go lower for higher boost but I also talked to cheezefrog and he also said 10:1. And from the videos of his car I think he knows a thing or too. Second question Anyone have a bare b16 block? And What brand Pistons and Rods etc would you go with? thanks for the help

I have a B16 block over at Golden Eagle that's being resleeved, decked, o-ringed, honed, bored, line bored, etc. I would say 9.8:1 ENDYN/JE/Arias pistons 83mm or 84mm bore (if you get it resleeved), Crower/Pauter/Manley/Eagle rods, ARP head studs, 620cc Delphi/MSD/RC injectors and Hondata/EMS <-- Killians

I got about 9.4:1 comp ratio. Crower rods, srp pistons. Block guard then bored to 3.209. Got 333 fwhp on a b16a at 18 psi. Tuned a/f at 12.1 across the board to 8000 rpm. I'm running Hondata stage 4, tuned out alot of ignition timing to lower cylinder pressure and to get really got reliability. Could prob get another 30 hp if we spent another few hours on the dyno getting the a/r down to 12.5-12.7. The car is a crx that wieghs about 2000lbs. The car rips. Sorry, I don't have 1/4 mile times yet.
