b16 SiR 1 turbo build up!!!
First of all; this is my first post. This seems like a good forum from what i searched so i decided to join; you guys sound like you know what your doing.....
Ive got a 91 Integra and i just odered the complete b16 sir1 w/lsd swap from hmotorsonline.com
I wanted to build an all motor b16 and get 225hp to the wheels; my mechanic said if i wanted it to be a daily driver it would be hardly streetable he suggested boost.....
i know this is a boost forum so here is what i want ....if some of you guys could post your setups i would love it.....if you could include what your running(internals), how much boost and how long have you been driving the motor (miles wises) and how often you drive it.
And if you think 225hp to the wheels NA is possible dont hesitate to help me out there either....
AND PLEASE, I DONT WANT PPL TO RESPOND UNLESS YOU HAVE THESE SETUPS RUNNING....IM TIRED OF PPL THAT THINK THEY KNOW THERE ****.
reason for going NA is budget; but i want to check out the boost situation first....Thanks guys i apprecaite it

Re: b16 SiR 1 turbo build up!!! (jdmjerk)
First off welcome.
Secondly it will cost more to get 225whp N/A then if you went turbo.
I'm runing a sir2 rebuilt with 10.2:1 comp pistons, stock rods,etc...
set-up consists of
drag manifold, garrett t3t40E, custom charge pipes and dp, bosch bov, greddy intercooler, holley 255plh hp fuel pump, vortec fmu, sfc,rc 310cc injectors, msd, magnecor and crane ignition components. act clutch to get power to the ground through a gs-r tranny.
There is your 225whp (actually 226 see sig)..
It's going to take a lot of money to add 100hp to your engine N/A

Re: (jdmjerk)
I made 232 at the wheels on my 89 B16a...
You can make that HP with the stock bottom end, no issues on a good turbo kit at aobut 7-8 psi. No problems as long as the fuel/timing management is there.
